Afghanistan Peace Conference

This conference is meant for later in the year when students can do more independent work. I put them in groups, give them a list of sources, and they need to create their own five-day learning calendar. The conference is on Day 6. My current group is pretty high-skilled, so most teachers might need to eliminate a few sources to do the work in a week or so. During the actual conference, each group presents their recommendations, about one minute each, then we do a Q&A session, and then we attempt to reach a consensus. I don't try to force a weak consensus since the goal is to show the complexity of this topic and not the ease of a solution. Contact me if you have more questions!
